Steps to Take

  1. Wait the appropriate time for your carrier and service type
  2. Try tracking on the carrier website directly (not third-party)
  3. Contact sender to confirm tracking number is correct
  4. Call carrier customer service with your tracking number
  5. File a USPS Missing Mail Search (USPS), or open a trace inquiry (UPS/FedEx)
  6. After 7 business days no movement: file a claim
