Step 1 — Verify Tracking
Confirm your tracking number on the carrier's official website (not third-party). Check for typos.

Step 2 — Check All Delivery Locations
Mailbox, front door, back door, side gate, garage, with neighbor, building lobby, front desk, package room.
Step 3 — Wait 24 Hours (if says delivered)
Carriers sometimes scan delivered early. Package may arrive by end of day or next morning.
Step 4 — Contact Your Carrier
Call or chat with your carrier. Provide tracking number, name, and address.

Step 5 — File a Missing Mail Search (USPS)
USPS has an official missing mail search tool. Other carriers open a trace investigation.

Step 6 — Contact the Seller
If purchased from a seller/store, contact them. They can file claims and send replacements faster than you.
Step 7 — File a Claim
If package is confirmed lost after 7+ business days, file an insurance claim.
