🚫 Common Mistakes That Cause Customs Holds
- Under-declaring value — Writing "Gift" or "Sample" with a fake low value is illegal and can result in seizure
- Vague descriptions — "Stuff" or "Goods" will be held. Write exact descriptions: "Men's cotton T-shirt, size M, blue"
- Wrong HS code — Incorrect codes cause classification errors. Use our HS Code Lookup
- Missing sender/receiver info — Full name, address, and phone number required
- Not declaring electronics — Lithium batteries must be declared separately
- Multiple items, single line — List each item separately with individual values
- Not signing the form — Unsigned customs forms are rejected
